The National Theatre lineup for the next 6 months
Ruth Wilson takes the title role in HEDDA GABLER in a new version by Patrick Marber, directed by Ivo van Hove.
Alexander Zeldin will direct LOVE, a co-production with Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
Elizabeth Debicki joins Mark Strong and Hope Davis in the cast of David Hare’s THE RED BARN, based on the novel, La Main, by Georges Simenon, and directed by Robert Icke.
Adam Gillen and Karla Crome join the cast of AMADEUS, Lucian Msamati as Salieri, directed by Michael Longhurst.
NT Live announces broadcasts of NO MAN’S LAND by Harold Pinter, with Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart from the West End, Josie Rourke’s production of Bernard Shaw’s SAINT JOAN, with Gemma Arterton from the Donmar Warehouse and Ivo van Hove’s production of HEDDA GABLER with Ruth Wilson from the NT.

Ivo van Hove, one of the world’s most exciting directors, makes his National Theatre debut with a modern production of Ibsen’s masterpiece.
In this vital new version by Patrick Marber (Three Days in the Country, The Red Lion), Ruth Wilson (Luther, The Affair) returns to the NT to play the title role alongside a cast which includes Chukwudi Iwuji, Kate Duchêne, Éva Magyar, Sinead Matthews and Kyle Soller. The production will have set and lighting design by Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D’Huys and sound by Tom Gibbons.

Alexander Zeldin will direct LOVE, a co-production with Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 6 December.
In the run up to Christmas, three families are placed into cramped temporary accommodation. A middle-aged man and his elderly mum, a young family with a baby on the way, a newly arrived woman from Sunday. Strangers. Forced together. No space is personal.
This new work by Alexander Zeldin is written through a devising process with an ensemble of actors. The audience are invited to bear witness to an intimate story of family love for our times. LOVE continues this unique approach to theatre.
LOVE will be designed by Natasha Jenkins with lighting design by Marc Williams and sound design is by Josh Anio Grigg. The cast includes Emily Beacock, Darcey Brown, Anna Calder-Marshall, Luke Clarke, Grace Doherty, Janet Etuk, Nick Holder, Vitaly Outkine, Yonatan Pele’Roodner and Bobby Stallwood.

THE RED BARN
The Red Barn, a new play by David Hare, based on the novel, La Main, by Georges Simenon, and directed by Robert Icke, will now run until 17 January. Elizabeth Debicki (The Night Manager and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.) has joined the cast which includes Hope Davis, Michael Elwyn, Stuart Milligan, Anna Skellern, Mark Strong, Nigel Whitmey, Oliver Alvin-Wilson and Jade Yourell.

A PACIFIST’S GUIDE TO THE WAR ON CANCER
The full cast for Bryony Kimming’s new musical A Pacifist’s Guide to the War on Cancer is Naana Agyei-Ampadu, Amy Booth-Steel, Jenny Fitzpatrick, Hal Fowler, Amanda Hadingue, Francesca Mills, Golda Rosheuvel, Max Runham, Rose Shalloo, Gareth Snook, Lottie Vallis and Gary Wood.

This co-production with Complicite Associates will run in the Dorfman Theatre until 29 November in association with HOME, Manchester. The book is by Bryony Kimmings and Brian Lobel, music by Tom Parkinson and lyrics by Bryony Kimmings.

Peter Pan will now run until 28 January with further dates to be announced. Peter Pan is a co-production with Bristol Old Vic, devised by the Companies based on the work by J.M. Barrie. It is directed by Sally Cookson (Jane Eyre, NT & Bristol Old Vic). Half price tickets are available for under-18s. A relaxed performance of Peter Pan will take place on Saturday 21 January at 2pm.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted by Simon Stephens from Mark Haddon’s best-selling book and directed by Marianne Elliott enters its fifth year in London, continuing its run at the Gielgud Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue. Joseph Ayre leads the West End cast as Christopher Boone, with tickets currently on sale until 18 February 2017. Its official card partner is American Express.
