Carl  conducted an immensely successful year of Young Critics workshops across different regional theatres in the South West in 2015. Young Critics, is a series of workshop conducted by leading theatre critics for young writers who are interested in learning more about theatre related writing and to pursue a career in the industry. It has been acknowledged as an industry-leading programme, one of its kind, tailor made for young theatre enthusiasts who aspire to do theatre related writing. Young Critics has been adapted as a full fledged Theatre Critique module,  part of Musical Theatre Critique and Arts Journalism curriculum,  launched at University of Chichester in 2016.
